Danny lives with his loving mother, his uncaring father, and his best friend Portia the pig in a little house on a hill with a view of the sea, where the stars are almost close enough to touch. But when his mother falls ill and heavy rain brings the sea right to their doorstep, Danny and Portia must set out in his little toy boat to search for more time — and maybe even catch the stars.
